Tanudan Sangguniang Bayan assigns chairpersons, members of different committees for legislative work

Tanudan, Kalinga – The new composition of Sangguniang Bayan of Tanudan assigned and adopted the chairmanships and memberships of the different committees, ensuring a swift and effective management of legislative work in the next three years.

Led by newly-seated Vice Mayor Antonio Basungit Jr., the new set of SB members in Tanudan convened for a special session on July 7 to discuss the working committees and to assign their respective chairman and members.

Here is the list of Chairmanships and committees:

Alex Ladwingon is Chairman for the Finance and Appropriation; Councilor Lourdes Masa-ao for the Women, Family and Social Services; Councilor Eusebio Salicanto for the Human Rights, Peace and Order and Public Safety; SK Federation President Jericho Golwingon for the Youth and Sports Development; Councilor Federico Tiggangay for the Environmental Protection and Ecology; Councilor Leon Bulakit for the Housing and Land Utilization; ABC President Pablo Baliwag for the Laws, Oversight and Rules; Councilor Helen Gacadan for the Health; and Councilor Johnny Liddawa for the Committee on Agriculture and Cooperatives.

Moreover, Councilor Ladwingon was assigned as the Chairman of the Committee on Education of Science and Technology; Hon. Golwingon for the Public Utilities and Facilities; Councilor Shelton Pao-iton for Infrastructure; Hon. Baliwag for the Barangay Affairs; IPMR Grace Dagadag for the Tourism, Trade, Commerce and Industry; Councilor Lourdes Masa-ao for the Tribal Affairs, Culture and Arts; Councilor Pao-iton for the Research, Planning, and Development; and Councilor Liddawa for the Committee on Disaster Risk Reduction Management.

Vice Mayor Basungit, meantime, shall be leading the Special Committee on Landmarks and Boundaries and the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Accountability as the Chairman.

Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag expressed his support to the new set of legislators in Tanudan, enjoining them to work together and to have continuous a harmonious working relationship, fostering effective collaboration between the executive and legislative for sustained, better, and faster services for the people of Tanudan.
