Tanudan sends assistance to Cagayan

Tanudan, Kalinga ─ Despite being a small LGU with limited resources, Tanudan headed by Mayor Jhaedick Dagadag decided to help victims of flooding in the Province of Cagayan handing over P100,000 worth of food packs to alleviate the sufferings of those who were affected.


Tanudan Mayor Executive Assistant John Ryan Awingan shared in an interview that the 1st wave of donation drive was launched as an immediate response to those in need of food and water in different areas of the province particularly in Barangay Linao, Tuguegarao City.


“Ready to eat ta syempre diay agtetext gamin kanyami, kunada ket awanen ti inumen min, awan ti kanen min sunga diay napaspas nga makan ti inted min. Talaga nga inggana bubong ti danum, haan da talaga nga makawar, agyan da lang ti bubong lang,” he said.


Said group led by Mayor Jaeidicke Dagadag travelled to the province after being oriented with their safety equipment and gears this November 14.


Tanudan rescue team together with their team leaders Alex Ladwingon and Warner Asan went through houses by rubber boats to deliver bottled water, biscuits and noodles to residents.


For the second wave of relief operation this November 16, 32 cavans of rice, 30 cases bottled water, 30 boxes biscuits and clothings were turned-over to Tuguegarao City and the Municipality of Enrile.


Additionally, the group continued to distribute food packs to families in different barangays.

Mayor Jaedicke Dagadag then expressed his gratitude to all fellow kakailyans who lent a hand in making the relief operation possible.


“Agtitinulong tayu nu ada kastoy nga pasamak, awan koma ti mabaybayan nga kailyan tayu ti kabangibang nga ili, dakkel nga tulong kanya da ti presence tayu, uray bassit dayta atleast nkatulong tayu ti pada tayu nga tao,” he uttered.
