Teen drowned in Tuguegarao river

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan — A teenager, who went swimming with three friends, drowned and was found dead by the authorities on Sunday, October 31.

A report from the Philippine National Police – Tuguegarao through the Cagayan Provincial Information Office revealed that the 16-year-old victim is from Barangay Libag Norte, Tuguegarao City.

The four went to Pinacanauan River in Barangay Larion Alto on October 30, where the victim went to the deeper portion of the river where he, unfortunately, got drowned.

Teams from the PNP and Philippine Coast Guard responded to the incident and, after a search and rescue operation, they found the lifeless body of the teenager this Sunday.

The remains of the victim were brought home to his family.
