Tabuk City, Kalinga - Governor Ferdinand B. Tubban emphasized three important points which he considered paramount for the government workers of Kalinga PLGU in order to perform their duties and responsibilities and be able to deliver better services to the people they serve.

Tubban underscored the value of time and the realization that it is fleeting, the need for a sense of accountability, and chiefly the renewal of commitment to public service for the sake of the future generation and for a better tomorrow for all the people of Kalinga.

The message was delivered during the first flag ceremony of the Kalinga Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) for the second semester this August 2, 2021, thru Provincial Administrator Atty. William Puday Jr.

Value of time

In stressing the importance of time, Governor Tubban said that change is inevitable with the passage of time so “we ought to keep moving forward.”

“Agbaliw iti amin ta magmagna ti oras ket nu saan tayo nga ag-garaw, agtrabaho, tumulong a mangiduron ti panag-dur-as ken development, mabati tayo ket agsubli-subli ti problema ngem datayo lumakay, bumaket, ag-retire,” Tubban said.

Reminder to Government Workers

The governor commended the PLGU employees from both the executive and legislative department for a job well done but reminded them of their accountability and responsibility as government workers to the people they serve.

Tubban encouraged the employees “to join in achieving more and accomplishing more work for the province of Kalinga.”

“We should work hard and do our best because in reality, we will only live in this world once. Nu nasayaat ti trabaho tayo, saan tayo a mabain a sumango ti tattao ken sumango ti Diyos.” the governor added.

Renewing Commitment to Public Service

Tubban also appealed to the employees to re-ignite and renew their commitment to ensure a better future for the generation, for a better tomorrow for all the people of Kalinga.

“If your energy, enthusiasm, drive and desire to work are flickering, I pray that it will be re-ignited. I ask that we work together, kas kunada ‘kasapulan ti duwa a bato tapno maka-risiris ti apoy’,” the governor underscored.

According to Tubban, ‘commitment is seen in the hours we put to work, in the efforts we make to improve our abilities, in what we do to benefit our fellowmen, and in the sacrifice, we offer out of our personal expense.’

“Ti dawat ko lang met kadatayo amin ket agtitinnulong tayo a mangsimpa, mangpapintas, ken mangbaliw ti probinsiya para iti masakbayan dagiti annak tayo,” Tubban said.
