Tinglayan, Kalinga – Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in this town expressed gratitude for making it easier for them to receive their grants using the Point of Sales (POS) kits anew during the payout on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

In said event around 451 out of 731 4Ps beneficiaries were served using the POS kits, thus making them withdraw without having to travel to Tabuk City, which is time-consuming and expensive.

“Mayat ta haan min kailangan nga agbiyahe-biyahe pay. Gastos lang ti pamasahe ken diay oras mi. Agyaman kami ta adda ditoy munisipyo ti payout,” one of the 4Ps' beneficiary expressed.

The new scheme, as recalled, was introduced in the municipality on June 8 this year and was then used continuously during the pay-outs, being more convenient and accessible to the beneficiaries.

The POS kit is a device that has similar features to an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) as it enables beneficiaries to know the amount of money left in their account; however, it could not dispense cash like the latter. Beneficiaries also pay only a small amount to Treasure Link Cooperative Society (TLCS) for its service fee.

In an update shared by DO II/Municipal Link of MOO Tinglayan Philip Macasieb, he said that they will open an additional venue for the pay-out aside at the Tinglayan Municipal Hall to accommodate more people and also to bring the payout closer to the yTongrayans.

“Next time, we will try to open another venue at Ahrong national high school to prevent the gathering of more people here at the municipal hall for safety purposes especially in this period of pandemic," he said in an interview by Municipal Information Officer Larae Lactao.

Meantime, to ensure that minimum health protocols were observed by 4Ps beneficiaries during the pay-out, personnel of Tinglayan Municipal Police Station were assigned to patrol in the area.
