Tinglayan LGU locks down Barangay Ambato

Tinglayan, Kalinga―Tinglayan Mayor Sacrament Gumilab assured that the situation in the municipality is under control following the lockdown of Barangay Ambato to facilitate complete and efficient contact tracing of contacts of Covid-19 positive patients.


Said lockdown is effective this November 13 until further notice stated by the Memorandum Order No. 32 Series of 2020.


According to the Memo, Local COVID-19 Task Force was informed that some individuals from Barangay Ambato have come into contact with the two (2) confirmed COVID-19 positive patients recorded in the barangay.


In an interview with Mayor Sacrament Gumilab, he ensures the safety and security of persons who may have come into contact with these new confirmed cases and asked for the cooperation of the public as assistance to the ongoing contact tracing.


“Awan met ketdi ti pagdanagan idiay ta under control met diyay ket ti dawaten tayo lang iti umili idiay barangay Ambato ket diay cooperation da, suruten dan ti lockdown protocols tapno mapaspasan ngay diay contact tracing ta isu ti addan tayo tatta,” he uttered.


Meantime, the municipality has recorded 4 active cases for COVID-19 from barangays Ambato and Sumadel. All are isolated at the isolation unit of the municipality.
