‘With the new PNP building, we are gypsies no longer’ - Lubuagan Police Chief

Lubuagan, Kalinga ˗ The police personnel in Lubuagan will no longer have to keep moving from place to place for an office after the inauguration of their permanent two-storey and standard police station building this July 2.


In his welcome remarks, Lubuagan Police Chief Police Captain Garry Gayamos said they have been waiting for the establishment of the permanent and B/C building standard type, recalling that the police force in the town have already transferred office four times.


“Adda daytoyen a baro a building tayo nga isu iti ur-urayen tayo la unay a pag-alisan tapnu itul-tuloy tayo iti serbisyo kadagiay kakailyan tayo a taga Lubuagan ken entero a Kalinga,” he said.


People behind the building


Gayamos, in his remarks, acknowledged the people who helped and worked for the lot, funding and construction of the new and permanent police station.


He said Police Brigadier General Steve Ludan pursued the immediate approval of the fund for the construction of the building when he was the Chief of the Budget Division of the PNP Directorate for Comptrollership.

The chief of police also expressed gratitude to Lubuagan Local Government Unit through the leadership of Mayor Charisma Ann Dickpus for the donation of the lot where the police station is now situated.


He also acknowledged the works of PLtCol Freddie Montes Asuna, PLtCol Norman Albarado Andriano and former COP of Lubuagan, PMaj Renato Soriano Miguel who processed and worked on the needed documents. Lastly, he recognized the engineers behind the construction of the building, Engr. Mark Ranier Duguiang and his team.


Lubuagan is among the 3 municipalities in Kalinga that were granted to have the standard type B/C building, a 2-storey police station with a rooftop.
