Woman hurt by 15-yr.-old hit and run rider

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A woman was rushed to the hospital after she was hit by a 15-year-old rider who left her injured on the road on Monday evening.

The pedestrian Joan Ramirez of legal age and resident of Bulanao Centro was found lying on the ground at the intersection of Provincial Road and Viloria Street in Purok 2, Bulanao Norte around 6:50 p.m. on February 20.

Kalinga Police Information Officer PCapt. Ruff Manganip relayed that the victim was found by a man who happened to be traversing the provincial road at the time. The man further said that he saw this Honda XRM on the road, just near the woman.

The driver of said motorcycle was nowhere to be found. The pedestrian sustained abrasions and was brought by barangay rescuers to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

The minor rider was later surrendered by his parents to the Tabuk City police.
