Tabuk City, Kalinga – Highlighting the province’s growing peace and security as part of ongoing efforts to support local development and emergency response, Governor James S. Speaking before BFP personnel from various provinces and the lone city in the region, along with provincial officials, Edduba welcomed the visitors and expressed pride in showcasing Kalinga—a province once considered risky to travel to, but now peaceful and accessible.

In connection with the province’s peace and order situation, the governor emphasized Kalinga’s progress despite being one of the younger provinces in the Cordillera region. He noted that while previous decades were marked by challenges, the province has steadily worked to strengthen peace and order while preserving its cultural heritage.

“Although dakami ti kabaruwan nga probinsya together with Apayao province—we were just divided in 1995, so February will be our 31st Founding Anniversary. He further urged sustained cooperation between local government units and national agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of the Kalinga community.

Meanwhile, the Mangili Night was personally graced by BFP-CAR Regional Director FCSUPT Leonida Gumanab Rosales, DSC, along with Kalinga provincial officials including Vice Governor Dave Q. Odiem, Board Member Christopher Dona-al, and Tanudan Mayor Hon. Jaedick Ross Dagadag, among others. The event reaffirmed Kalinga’s commitment to peace, development, and public safety.
