Tabuk City, Kalinga − Police Brigadier General Steve Ludan, from Lubo, Tanudan, is now the new Regional Director of the Police Regional Office of Region 2 (PRO 2).
In a press release, PRO 2–Regional Information Office informs that Brigadier General Ludan assumed post morning of July 19 in a turn-over of command ceremony and retirement honors held at Camp Marcelo A Adduru.
Ludan, in a message, vowed to intensify the campaign against insurgency, strengthen communication with local government units in the fight against criminality, and enhance their campaign on the Philippine National Police (PNP) cleansing policy.
Among his plans are to see and provide the needed equipment in the crime laboratory to further improve their services. The general said he is yet to learn more about his new assignment in the region in order to craft better programs that will effectively serve the needs of the public.
The newly installed police regional director is the previous director of PNP Crime Laboratory. He belongs to the Philippine Military Academy ‘Tanglaw-Diwa’ Class of 1992.
Ludan replaced Brigadier General Crizaldo Nieves, who retired from service and served as the regional director in region II for one year.
The turn-over of command ceremony was presided by Police Lieutenant General Ephraim Dickson, the Deputy Chief PNP for Operations, who graced the event as the guest of honor and speaker.
