10-year-old girl dies in Isabela car crash

Jones, Isabela – A 10-year-old girl died in an accident involving her father’s van and a wing van parked along the national highway in Barangay Payac, Jones, Isabela on Thursday night, Dec. 15, 2022.

The tragic incident is the latest casualty of road accidents in the province with the death of Keirstein Joy Rapisora from Barangay Dalibubon of the same municipality.

Initial report of Jones Police Station says the victim was on board the Toyota HiAce van driven by his father, Police Senior Master Sergeant Ryan Rapisora, 42, a member of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit. They were traversing the said road when the driver lost focus, swerving to the outer lane, and eventually colliding into the rear of the parked FUSO Fighter Freezer Van Truck.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician.

Further investigation is ongoing.
