14-yr.-old student dies in Isabela road crash

Jones, Isabela – A 14-year-old male student died while two individuals were injured following a collision involving a ‘kulong-kulong’ and a Mitsubishi Montero along Barangay Daligan, Jones, Isabela around 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 8.

Jones Police Station revealed the victim, together with his two companions, was on board a 'kulong-kulong' heading in the west direction, particularly to the Jones Public Market when they met the tragic accident.

While on the road, a Mitsubishi Montero with a plate WNI836 going in the opposite direction suddenly encroached the line of the 'kulong-kulong' resulting in the crash that claimed the youngster’s life.

The student sustained serious injuries that led to his immediate death while his companions were ferried to the nearest hospital for proper treatment.

Authorities identified the casualty as Mark Jayson Bangloy, a resident of Barangay Daligan, Jones, Isabela.

The injured, meantime, were named as Nathaniel Pinkihan, 9, a student; and Kairuz Kai Kai Tanio, 4.

Meantime, the driver of the SUV, Danilo Lotino, 51, married, a businessman from Barangay Usol of said town will be facing Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide with Multiple Serious Physical and Damage to Property.
