18-year-old identified as one behind motorcycle theft in Tabuk City


Tabuk City, Kalinga — An 18-year-old student who is suspected of stealing a soldier’s motorcycle in Dagupan Centro is now facing charges.


The teen is said to be the one who stole the motorcycle of a member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines last January 13, 2022.


A report from the Tabuk City Police Station disclosed that the victim parked his motorcycle in front of the St. Peter Claver Hospital around 11:00 PM of the said date while he was waiting for his girlfriend working at the hospital.

However, at around 12:10 AM on January 14, the reporter and his girlfriend were about to go home when their motorcycle was already nowhere to be found.


At 11:00 AM on the same date, the victim claimed that his younger brother saw his stolen motorcycle passing at Dagupan Public Market.

After the victim reported the incident to the police station, police investigators proceeded to review footage of CCTV at the ICT which eventually resulted in the identification of the 18-year-old suspect who is a native of Quirino, Isabela, and a resident of Dagupan Centro.


On January 18, a case of violation of Republic Act 10883 or The New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 was filed against the suspect at the Tabuk City Prosecutor’s Office.
