19-year-old Shabu peddler in Tabuk City nabbed by Police

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 19-year-old high school student was arrested after selling suspected shabu Wednesday evening, February 9, in Sitio New Balbalan, Barangay Lacnog East, Tabuk City.


At around 7 o’clock in the evening, a buy-bust operation was conducted against the suspect who is considered as a street-level drug individual.

During the operation, he was caught selling two pieces of a heat-sealed sachet containing crystal-like substance, suspected to be Shabu to an undercover Kalinga police. The alleged illegal substance weighs 0.40 grams with a standard price of P2,720.


Right there, the suspect who is a 19-year-old grade 11 student and a resident of Lacnog East was handcuffed by the operatives.


Additionally, another 2 sachets containing alleged Shabu, the P1,000 buy-bust money, a unit of android phone, and a unit of black Honda XR150 motorcycle were recovered from the suspect.

On-site inventory of the confiscated items was done in the presence of witnesses from the media, Department of Justice, and Lacnog East barangay officials.


A violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is now being prepared for filing against the suspect.
