2 men and a woman caught transporting P24M marijuana in Lubuagan, Kalinga

Lubuagan, Kalinga – Three individuals were arrested after they were caught ferrying millions worth of suspected marijuana at the Dinakan checkpoint in Dangoy, Lubuagan on October 28, 2022.


The contraband was intercepted after the authorities were alerted about a silver Toyota Hi-Ace model 1995 with plate number RDM 343 tipped off carrying marijuana. The information stated that the vehicle came from Tinglayan and was going to pass Tabuk City.

The Kalinga police then waited for the said car and flagged it down when it reached the checkpoint at Dinakan.


According to Kalinga Police Provincial Office, the authorities discovered 204 pieces of suspected marijuana bricks, 2 pieces of the same contraband in tubular, and two small bottles which are believed to be containing a marijuana oil.


These suspected drug items were estimated to be worth P24,727,000.00.

With the said evidence, the police arrested the 3 occupants of the car who were identified as Raechelle Kitongan Canao, 29; Augusto Binuloc Gunnawa, 38; and Arnel Langao Wadwad, 26.


The three will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
