2 private schools in Apayao get P1M cash aid from PLGU

Kabugao, Apayao – With a belief that education could ensure a better future for youth and eventually the province, the provincial government of Apayao, led by Governor Elias Bulut Jr., awarded P1 million in financial assistance in checks to two private schools in Kabugao.

The management of Apayao Community Learning Center (ACLC) and Our Lady of Lourdes High School (OLLHS) personally received P500,000 each in check from the governor during the Governor's Community and Barangay Visit to the municipality on Wednesday, October 4.

According to the provincial government, the assistance given will be utilized to support the education of indigent and underprivileged students who are studying in said schools.

“Bulut Jr. believes in providing a helping hand to the youth and institutions for a better future, not only for the families whose children get educated but also for the whole province,” the provincial government wrote.

With said assistance, the school heads conveyed their gratitude to the governor for his continuing support of the education sector of the province.

Along with the governor, other provincial officials present during the awarding were Vice Governor Remy Albano, Board Members Kyle Mariah Chelsea Bulut-Cunan, and Vincent Talattag.

It was also on said visit that the awarding of cash assistance to yKabugaos through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Project Butsy Medical Mission was held.
