Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two High Value Individual drug personalities who are in their 20s were apprehended in separate police operations in Tabuk City on Thursday, March 23.
The suspects are identified by the police as Jack Innog Maggongoy, 20, and Bongbong Tayab, 29.
The operatives likewise seized a total of P129,200 worth of suspected shabu from the residences of the suspects, according to reports from Kalinga Police Information Officer, PCapt. Ruff Manganip.
Maggongoy was nabbed after the Tabuk City police executed a search warrant in Purok 2, Lacnog East around 9:20 in the morning.
The operation resulted in the discovery of 14 pieces of sachets containing a substance believed to be shabu. These are estimated to be worth P68,000.
The 20-year-old suspect was previously nabbed in Enrile, Cagayan on May 12, 2021, for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
At 12:34 p.m. on March 23, police authorities proceeded to Purok 3, Lacnog East to implement another search warrant at Tayab’s place.
The operation led to the confiscation of 11 pieces of sachets with an estimated total amount of P61,200.
Said contraband prompted the police to arrest Tayab who was apprehended in Tabuk City on January 20, 2020, for violation of RA 9165.
