2021 GAWAD DepEd Kalinga Finalist dedicates awards to supportive Pasil stakeholders

Pasil, Kalinga – Lilibeth Dongan, the School Head of Pasil Central School (PCS) who was recognized as one of the 2021 GAWAD DepEd (Department of Education) Kalinga finalists, dedicates her awards to the stakeholders for their support and involvement in education development.


The 2021 GAWAD DepEd Kalinga is the Search for Outstanding Office and Employees in the province.

Dongan is a finalist under the Outstanding Public School Head Category – Elementary School Head. The award was conferred to her on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Davidson Hotel, Bulanao, Tabuk City.


The School Head of PCS, along with Brigada Coordinator Delfin Manggad, likewise won second place in the search for the Best Brigada Eskwela Implementer 2021 for Small School Elementary Category.

In an interview, Dongan disclosed she was inspired to participate in DepEd programs due to the support and cooperation of parents, the municipal government unit under the leadership of Mayor Alfredo ‘Chao-ig’ Malannag Jr., Guina-ang barangay LGU led by Marcelino Agabas, and Parent-Teacher Association led by President Louie Gayudan.


“The good teamwork we have with our partners and their great support contributed much in achieving our recognition awards. I also dedicate this to our school learners who are the end benefits of all these endeavors, to my supportive and understanding family, especially my husband. Daytoy ket agas ti adu nga bannug ken sacrifices,” she added.

The School Head narrated that she joined the search for Best Performing School Head in Pasil District for the school year 2020-2021. After topping the search, she was recommended to the Division Level by District Supervisor Herminia Astudillo, where she was chosen as a finalist.


Dongan said she is happy that the preparations which include making the school atmosphere child-friendly and conducive to learning have paid off.
