Tabuk City, Kalinga – Three residents in the city were among the 8 drug personalities who were arrested for smuggling alleged marijuana, in two successive interdiction operations in Sadanga, Mt. Province, on October 13.

The police identified the suspects as Jorge Tomaldong Eyawon, Dario Di-wean Diway, and Jake Caesar Bulosan Linchangan. All three are from Barangay Cudal, Tabuk City.

According to PNP Mt. Province Public Information Office, the three were on board a grey Nissan Almera that passed through the checkpoint in Sitio Ampawilen, Poblacion.

However, the three men were not able to escape the hands of the authorities as they were caught ferrying a total of 148 pieces of suspected marijuana bricks and 6 pieces of the same dried illegal weeds in tubular form.

These contrabands were estimated to be around 154 kilograms, with a street value of P18,480,000.

After inventory, Eyawon, Diway, and Linchangan, along with the confiscated evidence, were brought to Sadanga Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition.

Meantime, just 3 kilometres away from the place where the three were arrested, another five individuals from Mt. Province were nabbed for attempting to transport around P2,280,000 worth of alleged marijuana.
