The police identified the suspects as Jorge Tomaldong Eyawon, Dario Di-wean Diway, and Jake Caesar Bulosan Linchangan. All three are from Barangay Cudal, Tabuk City.

According to PNP Mt. Province Public Information Office, the three were on board a grey Nissan Almera that passed through the checkpoint in Sitio Ampawilen, Poblacion.
