Echague, Isabela – A 35-year-old public school teacher was found dead, hanging from a mango tree in Echague early morning on May 10, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The victim was identified only by the alias “Ron,” single, and a resident of Maddela, Quirino, who was temporarily residing in Barangay Ipil, Echague.

According to the Echague Police Station, as cited by local news outlets, the body was discovered by a certain “Arsenio,” the landlord of the place where Ron was staying, at around 4:45 a.m. The landlord reportedly found the victim hanging from a mango tree using a nylon cord.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities have yet to disclose the exact type of nylon cord used in the incident. Nylon cords are known for their strength and durability and are commonly used for fishing lines, tying objects, and various household or industrial purposes because they are flexible and resistant to wear and water.

Depending on the thickness and manner of use, nylon cords can withstand significant weight and pressure and may cause fatal injuries.

As of this writing, authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the case as investigations continue to determine the circumstances and possible motive behind the incident.
