4 schools in Cordillera rank among top performers in August 2026 Criminology board exam

The successful examinees are scheduled to register for their professional identification cards and certificates of registration on October 12, 2026.

TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Criminology graduates from four tertiary institutions in the Cordillera posted high passing rates in the August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE), earning their respective schools spots among the country’s top-performing institutions.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on September 1 that 16,952 or 57.56 percent of the 29,452 examinees who took the CLE on August 1 to 3 passed the examination and are eligible to take their oath as licensed criminologists.

Among the successful examinees were graduates of the University of the Cordilleras (UC), Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC), King’s College of the Philippines Inc. – Benguet, and Kalinga State University (KSU).

The four Cordillera schools not only posted impressive passing rates but also ranked among the country’s top-performing schools in their respective categories.

According to the PRC, UC ranked third among schools with 200 or more examinees, posting a 95.07 percent passing rate. CCDC ranked seventh in the same category with an 81.88 percent passing rate.

In the 101 to 199 examinees category, King’s College of the Philippines Inc. – Benguet ranked first, posting a 93.14 percent passing rate, while KSU ranked third with an 84.55 percent passing rate.

The August 2026 CLE was administered at testing centers across the country, including Baguio, Tuguegarao, Santiago City, Cauayan, Nueva Vizcaya, and other locations.
