41-year-old man in Baguio City stabbed to death during sleep by still unidentified killers

Baguio City, Philippines – A man went to bed planning to sleep early to wake up early the next day, but he didn’t see the light of day as he was stabbed to death on Monday night, September 9 during his sleep.


The victim, a 41-year-old resident of Tinongdan, Itogon, Benguet was discovered dead by his roommate who is also his cousin 6 a.m. on September 10 at Bengao, Bakakeng Central.


The two had a drink evening of September 9 before sleeping in their room.


As relayed by the victim’s cousin named as Ray Pio Cotchero, he slept on the second deck of their bed while his cousin identified as Marcial Beso Ventura slept on the first deck.


He woke up the next day to urinate but was shocked upon discovering that his cousin was dead covered with his own blood.


He immediately called for help and brought the victim to a nearby health facility but his cousin was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.


An in-depth investigation by the Baguio City Police Station 10 is now ongoing to determine the identity of the suspects and their motive for the crime.
