44 drug personalities in Cordillera arrested in April



Tabuk City, Kalinga – Forty-four drug personalities in the region were arrested in the month of April 2022 after a month-long intensified manhunt operations.


The PNP Cordillera disclosed that the strengthened intelligence monitoring dubbed as ‘Oplan Summertime’ was launched in the region as personalities and wanted individuals were cited in the region spending their Lenten season and summer vacation.

Of the 44 individuals, around 17 are considered high-value drug personalities while 27 are street-level drug personalities.


Confiscated in said operation is P51,897,156 worth of shabu and marijuana that were destroyed during a series of anti-illegal drug operations in the same period.

There were also 104 arrested wanted individuals from April 4 – 30. Of whom, 51 are considered most wanted for their crimes such as rape, murder, illegal possession of firearms, illegal gambling, illegal logging, violation of the Anti-Child Abuse Law, violation of Anti-Violence against Women & their Children Act, and violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Said month-long operation also resulted in the voluntary surrender of 138 unlicensed firearms to the different units in the region with the implementation of the ‘Oplan Katok’.


Lastly, 8 individuals were arrested for illegal logging resulting in the seizure of P607,408.19 worth of illegal lumbers.
