53-yr.-old farmer hit and killed while crossing road in Cauayan City, Isabela

Santiago City, Isabela - A 53-year-old farmer in Cauayan City, Isabela died after he was hit by a car evening of Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023.

The victim was identified as Philip Abe, married, and a resident of Barangay San Antonio, Cauayan City.

Accordingly, Abe was then crossing along the national road in Barangay District 1, when a Toyota Wigo, driven by Erickson Lucas Jr., hit him.

Lucas, when asked by the police, confessed that he was headed to Ilagan City on said day.

While traversing the road, he said he did not notice the crossing victim resulting in the sudden incident.

Due to the impact of the crash, the victim sustained severe injuries to various parts of his body. He was immediately taken to a hospital by the responding authorities, but he was unable to survive.

Lucas, meanwhile, was brought to the Cauayan City Police Station while documents needed were being prepared for the filing of cases against him.
