Baguio City, Philippines – Individuals responsible for abandoning a fetus in Baguio City are now being searched by police authorities in the area to make them answer for their wrongdoing.

On Thursday, June 12, a resident in Lower Bengao, Bakakeng Central was supposed to feed her dogs when she saw one of them smelling an object. This stirred her curiosity, and went to check what it was, and that was when she realized it was not an object, but rather a human being.

The woman immediately reported what she discovered to the police, who immediately came to retrieve the male fetus to give him a decent burial at the Baguio Memorial Service.

According to reports, the fetus is about 6 months old.

As part of their ongoing investigation, the Baguio City Police Office has already coordinated with the Baguio Health Department to trace anyone who was 5 – 6 months pregnant in the area.

The police, meantime, appealed to the public to report to them any information they know about possible leads to who the parents of the fetus are, as no CCTV was installed in the area.
