Archer from Tanudan, Kalinga qualifies for Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

Tanudan, Kalinga – A para-archer from Tanudan will be heading to France this coming August to play for the Philippines in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

 

Agustina Bantiloc of Lubo earned her spot for Paris 2024 through the Bipartite Commission Invitation after reaching the minimum qualification standard for the Compound Women's Open Category, the Philippine Paralympic Committee announced on June 8.

 

The 55-year-old is known for being part of the historic duo that marked the Philippine’s first podium finish in the Compound Open Mixed Category of the Para Archery Olympic Qualifiers held in Thailand in 2023.


Bantiloc along with Marzel Burgos won bronze in said competition after outlasting their South Korean counterparts.

 

The yKalinga athlete will be joining other Philippine delegates to represent the country in Paris 2024 slated on August 28 – September 8, 2024.

 

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will cover 22 sports which include athletics, archery, badminton, blind football, boccia, canoe, cycling, equestrian, goalball, judo, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair tennis.
