Tabuk City, Kalinga – Following the cyber libel complaint filed by Tabuk City Mayor Darwin Estrañero against one of his staunch critics, a warrant of arrest could be served today, June 02, 2022, for Atty. Errol Comafay Jr.
In a quick phone interview, Comafay informed that he could be arrested anytime today. He explained that this stems from his criticisms against Mayor Estrañero’s management of funds during the pandemic when the Mayor allowed purchases of allegedly blatantly overpriced medical supplies.
Comafay is one of those who Estrañero sued for cyber libel at the height of the thermal scanner controversy which the Tabuk City LGU bought for P12,000 pesos a piece when its retail price is at 300-400 pesos. The DOH ceiling price then was between 4,000 to 6,000 pesos.
Estrañero, in his complaint against his critics, claimed his reputation was destroyed by the allegations against him.
Tabuk City Vice-Mayor Bernard Glenn Dao-as, the man who sued Estrañero for graft and corruption at the Office of the Ombudsman, in previous weeks was also served a warrant due to land issues regarding the lot he bought from a certain Arthur.
