Baguio City, Philippines – Honesty prevailed when a taxi driver and his two passengers in Baguio City decided to return around P50,000 cash and other valuables left by another commuter.

Baguio City is said to be the home of honest taxi drivers and the citizenry is encouraged to be honest.

Taxi driver Kitayan Manuel Kalado was driving Sagun Rudy Pacleb Jr. and Precious Loislane Campelario to their destination on July 12 when the two passengers noticed a black bag in the back seat of the taxi.

PNP-Cordillera said the three believed the bag was left by another commuter. Right there, they decided to open the said bag to identify the owner.

When they opened the bag, they discovered a huge amount of bundled money.

This prompted the driver and his passengers to proceed to Precinct 73, the nearest police station from their location at the time.

Through the police, a woman-owner was traced and was able to retrieve the bag containing the money and other valuables she forgot in the taxi.
