'Be early on last day' - COMELEC tells political candidates to fill COC on Oct. 8

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Commission on Election in the province is appealing to political candidates who are yet to file their Certificate of Candidacy, tomorrow October 8, the last day of filing to come early.


Kalinga Provincial Election Supervisor, Atty. Dexter Barry Cawis reminds the political aspirants vying for various political positions in the 2022 elections to make sure to fill out the COC with complete details when they appear at the COMELEC to avoid possible delays.


“Kindly complete all the items in the COC, put NA if not applicable, have it notarized. And again, come before 5 PM. We are only allowing a maximum of 3 persons inside the office. So, since they opted to file on the last day, anusan dan ah agpila nu agsasabay da,” he said.

Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, Tabuk City Election Officer, Atty. Reyman Solbita also reminded the political candidates that they are not going to accept incomplete COCs.


“…Saan dakami nga apaen to a COMELEC no saan mi accept-taren ti COC yo nga incomplete. Ada kapadasan min ti naglabes nga aldaw a nasurok 1-2 hours ti panangkumpleto maysa kandidato ti COC na gapu lang ti minor a kamali. Kasanon ngay no major ti kamali COC yo?” he stated.


The filing of Certificate of Candidacy commenced on October 1, 2021.
