BMJ Builders Manager dies in Tabuk City road mishap

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Construction Project Manager of BMJ Builders died in a road mishap at Damsite, Bado Dangwa, Tabuk City on Friday, May 27, 2022.


Traffic Management Unit of Tabuk City Police Station identified the victim as a certain Bernard Manalay Jr., 37, married, an engineer and a resident of Purok 1, Bulanao, Tabuk City.

The victim’s relative, Rebecca Talyedo informed the unit that the victim who was then driving a Toyota Hilux was heading to Bulanao from Bantay when his vehicle plunged into the river, falling approximately 80 meters-deep from the roadbed.


Responding rescuers from the different government agencies retrieved the victim at around 10:30 PM and immediately brought the body to Kalinga Provincial Hospital for a possible revival.

According to Police Lieutenant John Macli-ing, the health personnel attempted to revive the victim until 2:30 AM but failed. The victim was then brought to his family’s residence.


The cause of the incident is under investigation.
