Brgy. Appas, Tabuk City celebrates accomplishments, provides residents cheerful activities

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A community's ability to succeed and thrive depends on the collaboration between its leaders and residents. While effective leadership plays a crucial role in guiding the barangay, it is the collective effort, collaboration, and dedication of the residents that truly drive progress and growth. 

For said reason, the Barangay Local Government Unit of Appas in Tabuk City, Kalinga, held a series of fun-filled activities for its residents on Saturday, December 21, 2024, through its Year-End Assessment and Christmas Program. 

Organized by the barangay officials led by Barangay Captain Bernard Glenn Dao-as, the event served as a gesture of appreciation, acknowledging that the barangay's continued development is made possible through the unwavering support and cooperation of the community. 

The residents of said barangay enjoyed various engaging activities during the event, highlighting the improvements of their community this 2024. 

From lively performances and exciting games to interactive community-building exercises, the event was designed to entertain and unite residents of all ages.

It was not only an opportunity for the residents to celebrate Christmas but also to acknowledge their unwavering contributions to the growth and development of the barangay throughout the year. 

Apart from the joyful activities, the barangay council and employees engaged in the year-end assessment and gave updates on the achievements of the barangay. They also shared plans for sustainable growth and further improvement of the community. 

Barangay Captain Bernard Glenn Dao-as, in an interview with Guru Press, Cordillera, expressed appreciation to his constituents for their continued cooperation and participation in the BLGU’s programs, activities, and initiatives, all for the betterment of Barangay Appas.

 "This celebration is a reflection of how far we've come as a barangay. Ti panagrang-ay tayo ket saan laeng a resulta ti nasayaat a panangidaulo, no di ket ti kolektibo a panagtitinnulong ti tunggal residente," he said. 

"Together, we are building a stronger, more prosperous community. Ket babaen ti agtultuloy a panagkaykaysa ken panagkumit, awan duadua nga agtultuloy ti panagrang-ay ti Barangay Appas kadagiti sumaruno a tawen," he added.
