Brgy. Lacnog Child Development Workers earn provincial recognition for shaping young minds

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Three Child Development Workers (CDWs) from Barangay Lacnog, Tabuk City, were recognized by the Provincial Government of Kalinga for their dedication to delivering quality early childhood care and development services.


The recognition was conferred by the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU), through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), during the 3rd Provincial Child Development Workers Week held at the Kalinga Sports Complex on June 9 and attended by Guru Press Cordillera.


During the event, the PSWDO honored Child Development Workers whose Child Development Centers (CDCs) attained Level 3 Accreditation, the highest or Outstanding Level of Compliance.


The accreditation is awarded to CDCs that successfully meet established standards for providing safe, nurturing, and child-friendly learning environments for young learners.


Among the awardees were Ms. Elena A. Dangani of the Lacnog Centro Child Development Center and Ms. Martina B. Galang and Ms. Edna B. Anag of the Dananao, Lacnog Child Development Center.


The three received plaques of recognition from the PSWDO for their dedication and commitment to helping shape the future of young children in Barangay Lacnog.


In an interview with Guru Press Cordillera, Barangay Lacnog Captain Joel L. Alunday lauded Dangani, Galang, and Anag for their achievement and encouraged them to continue providing quality care and learning opportunities to children in the community.


According to Alunday, the recognition reflects the commitment, perseverance, and sense of responsibility they have consistently demonstrated in carrying out their duties.


"Sapay koma ta diay recognition nga naawat da ket isu pay mas mang-encourage kayada to continue the good work they have started. The children under their care benefit from their dedication and patience every day. Through their service, they are helping shape the future of our community,” the barangay captain said.


The recognition highlights the vital role played by Child Development Workers in nurturing young learners during their formative years and ensuring that children receive quality care and early education that contribute to their overall growth and development.
