Based on the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities July 2023 report, Benguet State University (BSU) was cited as the top school among higher education institutions(HEI) in Northern Luzon.
Indicators for said ranking system include visibility which covers the impact of web content; transparency which takes into account the school’s top-cited researchers; and excellence which covers top-cited papers of the institution.
Points for visibility take 50%; transparency, 10%; and excellence, 40%.
The result is published by the Cybermetric Lab, the largest public research group in Spain.
BSU, meantime, ranked 32nd among 366 HEIs in the Philippines and 5794th out of 30,000 universities in 200 countries.
The top 5 college schools in the world are Harvard University, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Oxford, and University of California Berkeley.
