CKAPI trade fair in Kalinga launched to aid local economic recovery

Tabuk City, Kalinga – With the ribbon-cutting led by Governor Ferdinand Tubban and Provincial Director of DTI-Kalinga, Renie Ramos, the Christmas Bonanza Fair of Chamber of Kalinga Producers Inc. (CKAPI) was officially launched earlier today to help in the economic recovery of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that were directly affected with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic.


Located along the national road in Bulanao Centro, Tabuk City, the trade fair features the products of the 46 MSMEs including souvenir items, furniture, ornamental plants, souvenir items, wines, foods, among others.

In his message, Governor Tubban recognized that the MSMEs are the backbone of economy in the province saying, “dakayo ti pangnamnamaan dagiti umili tayo nga Kalinga.”


Tubban expressed gratitude to DTI-Kalinga for their profound support to the MSMEs such that the Bonanza Fair was made possible.


DTI-Kalinga PD Ramos, on the other hand, gave credit to all stakeholders from the provincial government to the barangay officials for the cooperation.

“Naaramid daytoy with the effective management of the leaders down to barangay captains and health workers. Nu han tayo nga compliant ti health protocols, baka han na-allow daytoy programa. Sana tuloy-tuloy na nga marebuild ti economy to help MSMEs” the Provincial Director stated.


CKAPI President Regina Madio showed appreciation to the officials for backing their request of launching the event.


Tubban and Ramos encouraged the MSMEs to comply with health protocols to avoid the spread of the virus for a faster recovery of the economy.


Other city officials also joined the event that will run until December 22.
