Mangaoang challenges Pasil officials to continue development, urges public to support gov't programs

Updated: Oct 14, 2022

Pasil, Kalinga – In a message to the people of Pasil during their 56th Founding Anniversary on June 18, Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang challenged their local government officials to sustain recent developments in the municipality and urged the people to support government programs.

Mangaoang, through his representative Reginald Wacas, said that the municipality has always been a beautiful place and that it is a sin for the people, especially the officials, if they do not fulfil their sworn duties to make it better.

“Panagkunak, ikot metten ti ili tayo dagita a talugading isu't gapu na nga awam gapu na a haan tayu magun-ud ti nasayud nga arapaap tayo,” he said.

Mangaoang said it is the duty of Pasilians to remember the chronicles of their forefathers and the great deed they left as legacy.

Paying tribute to them, he emphasized, is fitting and proper for the product of their sacrifices are now being enjoyed by the current generation.

The same indomitable spirit and determination, Mangaoang said, should inspire Pasilians to excel and do better in order to create enduring legacies no matter the odds and individual circumstances they found their selves in.

With this, the lawmaker stressed that government officials need to exercise effective and honest leadership and to have an enabling environment that will instill cooperation among all development stakeholders.

To do this, he further asked them to continue to stand in the banner of solidarity and make sure that the public get the best quality of life they rightfully deserve.

“Fifty- sixth year is a major milestone, as the tangible milestones of development are vivid in every corner of our municipality. Certainly, we should take pride in our accomplishments. But taking our queue to the challenge of our team trumpets, we should also highlight the need to overcome the need to become even better at what we do,” he said.
