Tanudan, Kalinga – Gracing the groundbreaking ceremony of the P135 million worth Improvement of Mabaca-Taloctoc Road, Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang assured the Taloctoc and Mangali barangays that he will continue to source out funds for the road improvement.

The Representative of the Lone District of Kalinga led the event held on Monday, May 2, 2022.

The road improvement was made possible through Cong. Mangaoang who sourced out its funding, aiming to link the two barangays of Taloctoc and the five barangays of Mangali to the national road in Banagao, Tanudan.

The approval for the conversion of said road, according to Reginald Wacas of the Office of the Congressman, is still pending at the Committee on Public Works and Highways of the 18th Congress.

Meanwhile, the rehabilitated Layawan Irrigation System and the Taloctoc Water Works System were turned over to the beneficiaries in the same event.

Wacas explained that the waterworks are part of a fund package for the six waterworks systems all located in Tanudan that were constructed in Bawac, Dupligan, Darulog, Baccong, Pangol, Mabaca, and Poblacion Tanudan.

The groundwater was obtained through mechanical drilling.

Also present during the event were local officials of the municipality and the province.
