Tanudan, Kalinga – Tourists will soon get to enjoy the view of the Lubo terraces as the construction of the Ampat-al Viewing Deck in Babbanoy Lubo starts this week, says Tanudan Local Government Unit official.

The said project was funded with 10 million pesos by the Office of Kalinga Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative Michael Sugguiyao.

According to Alex Ladwingon, Executive Assistant to Tanudan Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, a consultation was made with the community prior to the groundbreaking ceremony of the project on March 4, 2022.

Ladwingon said that the view deck will show the picturesque display of the Lubo rice terraces, and with the construction of wooden houses in the area, tourists will have a place to relax and stay while enjoying the view

He added that the P10 million funding will also cover the construction of the road going to the tourist destination.

Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag is delighted that Tanudan was given this chance to improve and highlight its tourism sites, which will provide another source of revenue to the community.
