Benguet, Philippines – A construction worker is now facing several charges after he was arrested this February 17, 2022, for allegedly circulating and selling nude photos of his ex-girlfriend from the Cordillera.

The suspect identified as a certain Nestor Concepcion, resident of Novaliches, Quezon City, is listed as the top 9 most wanted person of the Anti-Cybercrime Unit in the country.

In a press release, Cavite Police Provincial Office informed that the suspect was arrested around 7:59 AM in Carmona, Cavite. This is after joint operatives from the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit-Cordillera, Carmona Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intel Team-Benguet and Regional Intel Unit-14 served his arrest warrants.

Meantime, Assistant Chief of RACU-Cordillera, Police Lieutenant Colonel Divina Mencio, during her interview with the Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation, explained that the suspect was creating Facebook accounts using the profile picture of his ex-girlfriend.

Mencio added that Conception through the Facebook accounts was selling his ex-girlfriend’s nude photos.

Based on their record, the suspect and the victim met through social media in 2019 wherein they had a long-distance relationship. However, in 2020, the victim’s complete information was suddenly posted on social media, including her naked pictures.

With this, 3 counts of identity theft, 2 counts of cyber libel, and a case for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 were filed against the suspect. He has a total bail of P452,000.

“Kaya po sana maging maingat po tayo sa paggamit sa internet ganun din po sa mga pictures na nude photos natin lalo na yung ina-upload natin sa cloud, delikado po ito,” Mencio reminded the public.
