CVMC Covid-19 ward full, 4 in critical stage

Cagayan, Philippines – The Covid-19 ward of the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) is now full, Hospital Chief Dr. Glenn Matthew Baggao informed this saying, "puno na talaga at kinakaya na lang namin."


In a news release from the Cagayan Provincial Information Office, the CVMC Chief mentioned that as of Sunday, March 28, there are 125 Covid-19 active cases already admitted at the hospital. This is apart from the 37 suspect cases also confined in said hospital.


Baggao said that from the 125 confirmed cases, 59 are mild; 57 are moderate; 5 severe; and 4 are in critical stage.

For the suspect cases, 3 are mild; 26 moderate; 3 severe; and 5 are critical.


The hospital chief reiterates his appeal to the public to continue observing the minimum health standards in order to prevent the transmission of the virus.


Meanwhile, in a tweet this Sunday, Manila Bulletin said that the hospital is in dire need of help and that they are asking the national government for reinforcement and additional medical staff to help them attend to the admitted Covid-19 cases at the hospital.
