Burgos, Isabela – A lifeless infant believed to be about five to six months old was found beneath a bridge in Barangay Bacnor, Burgos, Isabela, on June 28, prompting authorities to investigate whether foul play was involved.

In a video posted on Facebook by Dhen Lopez Pacia, the infant was seen lying face down on rocks beneath the Bacnor Bridge.

According to Pacia, the child was discovered by individuals passing through the area, who immediately reported the incident to authorities.

The video quickly circulated online, drawing concern and speculation from netizens.

"Jusko, dakkilin ta ubbing. Grabe man ta intapon da lang, tas pinatay. Awan puso ken konsensiya tay inang na nu kasta," one commenter wrote.

Meanwhile, the Burgos Municipal Police Station has appealed to the public to provide any information that may help identify those connected to the case.

Police have yet to determine the circumstances surrounding the infant's death. Investigators are currently working to establish how long the body had been at the scene and whether any criminal act was involved.

As of this writing, authorities have not yet identified the infant or located the child's parents or guardians.

In a separate incident, the decomposing body of a woman was found floating in a river in Sitio Ragpatan, Barangay Labinab, Cauayan City, Isabela, on June 28.

According to local media reports, a farmer first noticed what he believed was a pile of garbage drifting along the river on June 27. The following day, he reported the discovery to the Cauayan City Component Police Station after realizing it was the body of a woman already in an advanced state of decomposition.

The remains were brought to a funeral home and later buried at the San Francisco Cemetery after no one initially came forward to identify the victim.

On June 29, two women identified the victim as their 67-year-old mother. They told authorities that she had Alzheimer's disease and would often wander away from home.

Authorities continue to investigate both incidents and urged the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any information that could assist in the investigations.
