Deadline for assessment, collection, and payment of local business tax in Tanudan extended

Updated: Apr 5, 2022

Tanudan, Kalinga – The deadline for the assessment, collection, and payment of local business tax in the Municipality of Tanudan has been extended until June 30, 2022.

This is with the approval of the ‘Ordinance Extending the Deadline of Assessment, Collection and Payment of Local Business Tax (LBT) Subject to Applicable Laws, Rules, and Regulations in the Municipality of Tanudan’ or Municipal Ordinance No. 2022-066 who was authored by Councilor Melchor Balawas.

Said ordinance was passed on February 28, 2022, by the Sangguniang Bayan, headed by Vice Mayor Joseph Cosidon.

As recalled, the Municipal Treasury Office, through its Acting Municipal Treasurer, has requested for the body to enact an ordinance extending the payment of local business tax without surcharges or penalties. Said request was only for the period not exceeding 6 months.

With no legal impediment to act on the request, the body then authorized the extension of the deadline for the assessment, collection, and payment of local tax in Tanudan.

As stated in the ordinance, instead on January 20, 2022, the assessment of business permits without penalty was extended until June 30, 2022.

Likewise, the acceptance of payment of business license without penalty will be done until June 30 instead of June 20.

Upon reaching the office of Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, the mayor approved and signed the ordinance.
