‘Do not patronize InDriver app’ -LTFRB CAR to taxi commuters

Baguio City, Philippines - With the office receiving complaints from the public regarding InDriver, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board – Cordillera is now telling commuters to refrain from using said app when choosing taxis to ferry them.

The office on Tuesday, January 8, made the reminder, saying the app is not among legitimate ride-hailing applications or transport network companies recognized and accredited by LTFRB.

The office had earlier received complaints from users of said app with regard to how they choose their passengers.

According to users, for them to be able to hail taxis in the said app, they are allegedly told to bid and taxi drivers are the ones who choose their passengers depending on who the highest bidder is.

“In relation hereof, operators are warned to stop using an illegitimate and unaccredited ride-hailing application or TNC,” the office wrote.

“The riding public is urged to refrain from patronizing InDriver to normalize taxi operation,” they added.
