Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Department of Trade and Industry–Kalinga launched one of its newest Shared Service Facilities (SSF), aimed at strengthening and supporting local MSMEs, on December 3, 2025 at the Pasalubong Center in Malalao, Tabuk City.

The SSF is a flagship project of the DTI that aims to enhance the productivity and efficiency of micro, small, and medium enterprises by providing better access to technology. Through SSFs, beneficiaries are able to improve product quality, increase production capacity, and become more competitive in the market.

The project is worth more than ₱1 million and is one of the 41 SSFs awarded by DTI to the Province of Kalinga since 2013.

To date, DTI-Kalinga has established 41 SSFs across the province: 19 in Tabuk City; 5 in Tanudan; 4 in Rizal; 3 in Tinglayan; 3 in Pinukpuk; 3 in Balbalan; 2 in Pasil; and 2 in Lubuagan—amounting to ₱38 million worth of SSFs since 2013.

The launch was attended by various stakeholders and officials, including Provincial Governor James S. Edduba (represented by Albert Gayyaman); DTI-Kalinga Provincial Director Renie Ramos; CTKAPI President Regina Madio; and TESDA Provincial Director Florence Jose, among others.
