FREE MEDICAL MISSION reaches Tinglayan; Hundreds of  residents receive check-ups, dental care, circumcision in two-day outreach

Tinglayan – Hundreds of residents in Tinglayan benefited from a two-day free medical mission held at the Municipal Tribal Gym in Poblacion on May 15–16, bringing essential healthcare services closer to communities in the municipality.


The outreach activity, which was sponsored by Love in Action Inc., provided a wide range of free services, including medical consultations, dental care, circumcision, and haircut through the efforts of volunteer doctors, dentists, healthcare workers, and uniformed personnel.


Among the medical professionals who rendered services during the event were Dr. Joice Magsaysay, Dr. Mary Guyang, Dr. Bea Ola-ao, Dr. Hazel Ganggangan Malasi, Dr. Gretel Edduba, Dr. Jefferson Lagan, Dr. Krista Luis, Dr. Lenard Mien Banatao, Dr. Glenda Davis-Banawag, Dr. Febe Langkit, Dr. Caran Aite Liw-agan, and Dr. Graziel Sinja Asio.


In his message, Tinglayan Mayor Charles Abay expressed gratitude to partner organizations Love in Action Inc., Couples for Christ Australia for their continued dedication to public service through outreach programs benefiting communities in Tinglayan.


The mayor also acknowledged the support of the Provincial Government of Kalinga headed by Governor James Edduba, national government agencies, like the PNP, BFP, Philippine Army, and BJMP, Kalinga Provincial Hospital and Lumin-awa Medical team, and employees and job order workers of the Tinglayan Municipal Local Government Unit in making the activity possible.


“Umuna, agpasalamat nak unay iti Love in Action nga nang-sponsor ditoy event tayo karkaru ta nagited da met lang iti free medicines, wheelchairs, medical equipment ken toys and clothes kadagiti kakailyan tayo. Agpasalamat nak met lang iti supporta dagiti daduma nga partners tayo ken dagiti volunteers tayo nga inmay, gapu kadakayo ket nagbalin daytoy nga event nga possible para kadagiti kakailyan tayo nga taga Tinglayan. Ken iti success na daytoy nga event ket mangipakita nga with unity, cooperation, faith, and service ket we continue to bring programs that uplift and care for our communities tayo,” Abay said.


The activity aimed to improve access to healthcare services, especially for residents in remote communities who often have limited opportunities for medical and dental consultations.
