Epileptic man with mental disorder found dead in Isabela rice field

Alicia, Isabela - Two days after going missing, a man in Barangay Callao, Alicia was already a rotting corpse when found by his family members.

His body was first discovered by a man identified as Nicacio Pascua.

According to Pascua, he was taking a nap in their family house when he smelled a foul odor coming from the rice field.

When he tried to search for where the unpleasant odor was coming from, it was then that he saw the dead body of Franklin Cacanindin, 47, which was already in a state of decomposition.

The paddy field where the body was found is also near the house of Cacanindin, Alicia police said.

Police believed there was no foul play behind Cacanindin's death.

According to his family, the victim was suffering from a mental disorder and was also constantly attacked by epilepsy.
