Abra, Philippines – A 25-year-old nurse was found dead, bound and wrapped in a plastic bag and motorcycle cover, in Bangued, Abra, prompting his family and loved ones to cry out for justice as authorities investigate the brutal killing.

The victim was identified as Tam-jay C. Colet, a native of Barangay Tumalip, Licuan-Baay, Abra, and a resident of Zone 7, Bangued.

His body was discovered at around 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, in Sitio Linasin, Zone 1, Bangued.

According to police reports, Colet was found wrapped in a plastic bag and a motorcycle cover, with his feet bound using packaging tape.

The body was discovered about 200 meters from the barangay road by Oscar Barcena, a resident of the area. Barcena initially thought the person lying there had merely passed out from intoxication, but after checking with neighbors, it became apparent that the individual was already dead.

The Bangued Municipal Police Station reported that Colet sustained 13 stab wounds on various parts of his body, including the back, left shoulder, nape, and left temple.

Authorities also found a blue Honda XRM 125 motorcycle bearing plate number 4002 AM near the victim's body.

Based on their initial assessment, investigators believe the victim may have been killed elsewhere and later dumped at the site, as there were no visible signs of a struggle or bloodstains in the area.

Police are currently reviewing surveillance camera footage and pursuing other investigative leads to identify those responsible and determine the circumstances surrounding the killing.
