Abra, Philippines – The family of a 36-year-old woman who was stabbed to death at her own house in Barangay Calaba, Bangued, Abra on Saturday, July 23, is crying for justice to prevail and for the perpetrator to be punished.
The death of the woman left the family not only with great sorrow but also a heavy burden in rearing the child she left behind.
The victim, Marjorie Raping, 36, a native of Barangay Luzong, Manabo, Abra sustained multiple stab wounds to her chest and arm, causing her immediate death at the said residence, reports ABRA Radio 103.7 JOY FM.
Police investigation said Marjorie was left alone at around 10 AM after her live-in partner, Memax Donato headed to Barangay Mudeng, La Paz for some errands.
When Donato returned home with his child at 3 PM that day, they found the lifeless victim on the floor.
Donato revealed that the P50,000 cash hidden in the victim’s bag was missing, adding theft to the list of possible motives for the killing.
The police are now conducting an in-depth investigation for the identification of the suspect and of his/her main motive.
Authorities further called for those who have information regarding the incident to coordinate with them for faster resolution.
