If you’re looking for a refreshing place to swim, relax, or camp out this holy week, the Asilan Picnic Site in Sitio Balatoc, Barangay Lucog, Tabuk City is a perfect destination.

The site has clear and clean water offering ideal areas for swimming and cooling off from the summer heat. Surrounded by lush greenery and open spaces, the river in said barangay provides a relaxing environment for picnics and gatherings.

During the personal visit of Guru Press Cordillera, the Asilan Picnic Site was very much alive with visitors enjoying the cool river, sharing their food, and crossing the hanging bridge for a bit of adventure and amazing views. Others floated on inflatable tubes (salbabida), some grilled pork or fish, while the others rested under the trees, and spent quality time with loved ones in a beautiful riverside setting.

What is even more attractive to visitors is that the site currently has no entrance fee, making it an accessible and budget-friendly getaway for locals and tourists alike.

To preserve the site's cleanliness and stunning views, visitors are encouraged to manage their waste properly and to leave no garbage behind. Barangay workers are present on-site to guarantee the safety of all visitors, particularly those by the river and the hanging bridge.

To reach the place from Bulanao, it takes about 15-20 minutes by motorcycle, depending on traffic and road conditions. The scenic routes also offer beautiful views of the countryside, making the ride as enjoyable as the destination itself.
