‘Haan yu umay dadaelen iti Tanudan’ – Mayor Dagadag to illegal loggers

Tanudan, Kalinga – Following the arrest of another group of illegal loggers, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag released a stern warning against the illegal cutting of trees in Tanudan.

“Haan yu umay dadaelen iti Tanudan,” he stressed.

Just this August 23, 6 people from Quirino Province were arrested for allegedly hauling illegally sawn lumber at Sitio Anago in Barangay Mabaca, Tanudan.

Seven men from the same province were likewise nabbed in December last year for the same case in Barangay Pangol.

With these, Mayor Dagadag has once again reiterated the danger and adverse effects of taking advantage of nature. He asserted that the actions of the people today will impact the next generation, stating they wouldn’t want yTanudans in the future to experience flash floods because there are no longer trees left.

His appeal, he added, is not just for outsiders but is also for every constituent in Tanudan.

“Saan yu dadaelen ti mismo nga ili yu nga mangararamid iti illegal activities, ta uray nu agkakailyan tayu ket awan ti rason nga saan ko dakayu nga tiliwen. Awan kinailyan nu dakayu met lang nga mismo ti mangdadail ti ili tayu nga nagmayat,” he emphasized.
