ECHAGUE, Isabela — A man suspected of stealing a motorcycle in Echague, Isabela, was arrested after the motorcycle he was allegedly riding crashed along the national highway in neighboring San Agustin on Friday, October 9.

According to a police report obtained by local media outlets, the red-and-black Suzuki Raider 150 was reported missing at around 1 p.m. after its owner discovered that it was no longer parked in front of a billiard hall in Barangay Pangal Norte, Echague.

Following the report, the Echague Municipal Police Station alerted nearby police stations to help locate the motorcycle and the person suspected of taking it.

Police later received a report from San Agustin about a road accident involving a motorcycle that matched the description of the missing vehicle.

The crash occurred along the national highway in Barangay Masaya Sur, San Agustin.

When police arrived at the scene, the motorcycle owner confirmed that the crashed vehicle was his, prompting authorities to arrest the suspect.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Felipe,” and reportedly a resident of Echague, was arrested after police verified his alleged involvement in the motorcycle’s disappearance.

Felipe was brought to the Southern Isabela Medical Center for medical treatment after sustaining injuries in the crash.

Police are continuing their investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine the appropriate charges to be filed against the suspect.
